Planet Combat and iGames created a Battlefield Vietnam mini Tour of Duty in 2004, involving more then 20 LAN centers as part of a broader LAN event organized by iGames.

The event, ‘WANdemonium!,' brought together more than 200 players in more than twenty LAN centers in the US and Canada.

As part of the event, Planet Combat built and hosted an official web site, which included of rich multimedia effects to provide the players with a higher-quality gaming experience.

We also supplied the game servers, on which we hosted 100 players for 4 hours.

iGames worked with Planet Combat for a 20-location overnight event for Battlefield Vietnam called 'WANdemonium!'. Planet Combat was chosen because of the unique competitive format they could offer, along with post-event write-ups and presentation and event organization. They did not disappoint.

Planet Combat worked with iGames staff to manage servers, manage player connection to servers, and Planet Combat provided their in-game battle tracking. All of this went very smoothly.

One game center had too many people (each location was to have 10 participants, but this one had 30), and as a result each person played for only a short time. Planet Combat took extra effort to write something about each group of players. It turned potential complaints into excitement as these 'short-time' participants read about their exploits and re-lived the battle.

Planet Combat added a MMORPG atmosphere to what would have been a vanilla tournament. Instead of looking at brackets for who beat whom, participants in this event fought a war, checked which army had taken each piece of ground, and read about it in a simulated newspaper right out of the Vietnam era.
