Combat Studios wins Tufts' University's Third Annual Business Plan Competition

"Michael Lewis, Combat Studios Chief Marketing Officer has won more than $25,000 in cash and in-kind services for Combat Studios from Tufts University. Michael, who graduated cum laude from Tufts in May 2007 also won the Paul and Elizabeth Montle Prize for Entrepreneurial Achievement."


Combat Testing Completes 2142 Alpha Test

Combat Studios has recently completed a large scale alpha test for Electronic Arts' highly anticipated first person shooter Battlefield 2142. A beta test, which will involve more than 400 members, is expected to start on August 20.

What's the Game Developers Conference?

The Game Developers Conference (GDC) is the official trade event "by game developers for developers" of computer, console, mobile, arcade, online games, and location based entertainment.

The GDC attracts over 12,000 attendees and provides educational, networking, and business opportunities for game development professionals driving the $11 billion video game industry. It is the main global forum where programmers, artists, producers, game designers, audio professionals and others involved in the development of interactive games gather to exchange ideas, network, and shape the future of the industry.

This market defining conference features over 300 lectures, panels, tutorials and round-table discussions on a comprehensive selection of game development topics taught by leading industry experts. In addition, the GDC expo showcases all of the game development tools, platforms and services. The conference also includes the eighth annual Independent Games Festival, where new, unpublished games compete for the attention of the publishing community.


E3 Expo 2006

The Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), "Where Business Gets Fun," is the world's premiere trade event exclusively dedicated to showcasing interactive entertainment and educational software and related products. E3 2006 will be held at the Los Angeles Convention Center from May 10 – 12. Conferences are held May 9 – 11 and the show floor is open May 10 – 12.

The worldwide annual focal point for the computer and video game industry, E3 draws tens of thousands of professionals to experience the future of interactive entertainment. The most influential people leading the most innovative companies in the business attend E3 to showcase and see groundbreaking new technologies and never-before-seen products for computers, video game consoles, handheld systems and the Internet.
